Hes talking about taking the top trim of his 55 and cutting it so that the tank only stands 14"
14? My sump is 20g high... Maybe if u wait I can do some measuring and testing tomorrow and let u know how high I have my water and how high it climbs when I turn everything off... But I have different measurements anyways... That's a tough one...
How high is it now and how high are u planning on putting the water?
Exactly, the rule of any liquid syphon is that if theres a air break in it, itll stop. So yes by carefully positioning BOTH the overflow and returns properly, youll avoid a huge drop flow to your sump
Nope you should be ok. The overflows will only "overflow" the same amount of water that your return pump pushes back into the tank. Npw when your return pump pushes more than your overflow can handle, thats a problem
Anytime and I see youve noticed my current dilema lol
