im getting a swordtail to breed with my Mickey Mouse Platy soon, last time I bred my platies, there were 28 of them (from what I counted) they all grew to 2 weeks and then I put 25 in my aunties Betta bowl for feeding, sounds harsh, but in nature they wouldn't survive anyway, 2 of the ones I kept died and the other one is the one I want to breed with a swordtail. in my other tank, my mother fish has just died after 2 and a bit years of life, it happened about 20 minutes ago, her last surviving fry is alone now :(

I'm not sure but I don't think sword tails and platys will mate even though they're almost identical apart from their tails. I haven't researched it though.

im thinking about buying a smal three gallon tank to put my new fry in because i know ill have more i have seven about a month old fry

I have mine in a fluval spec and it works great but I also have a 2.5 gallon tank that works well

I'm moving my 13 youngest fry from their 1gal. to this 10 gal. There just isn't enough room for them anymore. Will also be seperating the males from females during the move.

Very cool :) some of my fry are almost ready to be moved to my 20 gallon it's crazy

Unfortunatly my new 10gal. is only temporary. My wife is only allowing it to be set up right now for the fry. So I'm trying to decide what to do for decorations.

Haha I have 8 tanks and I'm getting a 55 soon haha I bet your wife would hate me

Haha no she probably wouldn't. Lol

On the other side of thing I transfered my fry to their new 10 gal. I also separated the males that I could find and placed them into my daughters 10gal. I will have some pictures up as soon as I can sort through them and find the good ones. My 1 gal is now temporarily empty.

I have an 80 litre and a 25 litre with molly and guppy fry at different ages, and I've just put 8 of my 5 week old Molly fry into the 200 litre with the adults and they LOVE it, can't wait to get a bigger tank so I can keep all my girls :) very few males in there considering there are approx 90 fry in the 2 tanks !
Here's a few being hand fed at 4 weeks old

So cute, but I've re homed the adult male guppies it was getting a bit crazy ;)

Here are some pictures of the little guys. First picture is of the oldest fry. Second is one of the youngest males. Third is of the dad( going to be treating him for his fin rot). The last picture is of the new tank with most of the younger fry with a couple of the older females. Will be getting rid of them here soon. It's going to be a sad day lol.

I have about 20 new Guppy fry from 3 different litters and I'm waiting for two more females to drop...

I moved this week so I decided to tank one of the 10g tanks I had to use as a fry tank. I didn't realize how many I had! I don't even know where to begin on trying to get a count on them they range from 1/4"-1" I think there's about 65ish from 4 different batches of kennyi and fuelleborni cichlids
