I would agree with it being a tadpole. If it were a platy it would probably hanging around the surface while this creature appears to be attached to something.
They are free swimming or on the bottom or sides mainly. Got 3 in a fry net and have seen 1 in tank that I can't get. Tried to get better pics but they tiny

Ahh much better pictures. Those are completely the wrong shape for a tadpole. Much too elongated. Tadpoles would have giant front ends, a pinched waist, and a skinny tail. I stand by my Platy guess
