GBR fin rot?

Hi,

I have a GBR that seems to have developed a whisp of fin around the anal fin. Is this fin rot? It's quite long. What can cause this? I know the PH of my tank is a bit high for GBRs could that be the problem?

Should I medicate? If so with what?

This is additional abnormal fin growth or degrading of a fin?

Fin rot is when normal healthy fins start to die and break down. The fish has less fin than he should.
