Does anyone know what kind of goby this is if it actually is a goby? It appeared in my tank this morning I'm guessing it came on some of the live rock I picked up

From looking online it definately appears to be a red spotted sand perch which doing some research looks controversial if it is reef safe or not , is yours causing you problems? I would say it is 3 inches long

He is very social and I love the coloring but if he is going to be a risk to my corals I don't want Him in there does anyone have experiance with them?

To be honest, I returned mine a few days after i got him. Petco, where I got him told me he was reef safe but I too rea conflicting information on him being safe and didnt want to take a chance.
The reason I knew right away what it was is that they are so cool looking and very distinctive which was the reason I picked him up in the first place.
