Gourami compatibility?

I was wondering if I could keep four Gourami's in my 40 gallon breeder tank without them fighting?

Question is too simple as there are a ton of factors that affect the outcome.

Type of Gourami (same species, mutiple, etc)
M:F ratio
Decor

Read up on all three areas and you'll find easy answers to your question.

I wouldnt say "easy" answers. Short answer is unlikely. With just 4 there isnt enough to create a hierarchy, I would suggest at minimum 6 if yourebgoing all males. Otherwise its best to go with just 1.

Gouramis dont always play male in charge either. My female dwarf bossed the tank, though a male was present.
