Gourami Question

I'm looking to get a gourami for my tank and their is a very attractive one at my LFS with the label on the tank "Peacock Male Gourami".

Does anyone know about this fish? I'm wondering if it is the Dwarf Species or not and I just don't want to just base it on what the employees say.

I did a google search and could only find one picture labeled "peacock" gourami...it was actually a dwarf gourami. Is he blue and orange?

He is more of an orange/redish color with some white streaks all over.

Like that? That's a dwarf gourami... anything that has that shape would be a dwarf

Thier is no blue on it at all, and I believe the pattern is a little bit different.

So the actual shape of the dwarf is always different than that of the full size?

Yeah, usually dwarfs look like that similar shape and the full sized ones are usually a long oval ..at least from what I've seen.
