Eco Complete or Sand is better than gravel.

You can use CaribSea Tahitian Moon Sand
for the whole tank. Just add root tabs if you are planting IN the sand. For Anubias or Java Ferns they are tied or glued to wood or rocks and stay above ground.

Your Corys and Kuhlis will love nice smooth sand. Pool Filter Sand works if you want white.
