Green spots on tank glass

I have a 55 gallon with 4 Cichlids and two plecos. I recently noticed small green dots all over the glass. I tried to use my long handle scrub but it won't take it off the glass. What type of algae is it and how can I scrape it off?

Im not sure what type it is but i get that in my cichlid tank sometimes.. i always just take it off with my brush it requires some elbow grease...lol

Use a straight edge razor. Comes right off.

If you scrape it off it will just come back worse than before, you have to let it run its life cycle. There's some imbalance in your tank which is the cause for the algae.

But if you're dead set on removing it use a razor blade.

Your light may be to close to the glass if you done have them centered in the middle. That's the only time I get it
