Guess That Species!!

No way is that a largemouth. Its mouth is way to small for that and the coloration is off

Coloration varies from the north to the south. And the way he's holding it may be deceiving on the mouth size. But I could be wrong also. I thought smallie at first but we already did that

It also looks like he is fishing moving water. To the best kf my knowledge largemouth bass dont like moving water

I have caught them out of the Illinois river but the white edging on the tail throws me off.

So far nobody is correct. It is a North American bass species, don't remember if in the black bass family or not, but my guess is yes
 
M.chattahoochae or M.cahabae or M. tallapoosae or M. warriorensis??
