Guppy Fight

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can tell me under which circumstances guppies fight with each other??

Seems especially the female attacking the other female. This is not my tanks, it's my little brother's tank. He also has 2 Danios in there with the 4 guppies (2 male and 2 female).

Any suggestions or help?

it might just be happening with your fish...do you have decor in the tank or any hiding/resting spots? maybe they are stressed out bc of that?

How big is this tank? If they're not given enough space, they could very well get rough with each other.

35 litre tank with 2 danios and 2 female guppies and 2 male guppies...

oh yes, the female being attacked is pregnant. Could the other female know that she might be due to give birth soon??

35 litres to me seems way too small. Danios should be in a 20 gallon minimum as they need space to swim. The guppies may be territorial over space.
