Guppy questions

Hi I have guppy fry. Lots of fry. But it seams that I never get males only females when they get older. Is this the luck of the draw with m or f? I know that I can jus go get a male guppy. Probably better off to mix the gene pool. But I would like to see what kind of males are from the fry. Any ideas.

Weird. I know with some egg-layers gender is determined by temperature, but I haven't heard of that happening with livebearers...
