Hair algae

Is it possible for hair algae to be growing on the glass? I have green stringy looking algae growing on the glass, i took a pic but you cant really see it.

IME yes. They pretty much grow anywhere they can attach them selves. Even on the silicone. I had a few scratches on the back of my tank and every now and then I have to pull them off that spot. And like I said, this is just based on my experience.
