Guys how many watt heater do you think I will need for the 6 foot tank to get over the winter? Is a single 300W will be enough? or 2x300W? Thanks.

I went to my LFS today they said it is better to get 2 200W for my 6 foot tank. They said 300W heater is general not safe to use or if anything go wrong will be trouble. They also said 2 300W might be overkill. If I do need more in future I can always get another 200W one.

What do you guys think? I really need some advice here. Thanks.

I do like the idea of redundancy for the heaters. I only have one now, but am going to get two titanium heaters on my next order.

I have heard really good things about using a pair of ETH 300's for a 125 gallon tank (see our review section, or do a search). I have picked up a pair, but have not put them into use yet.
