I've had my tank about 6 months and just found this slug like creature in my tank. I took him out, for now. Does anyone know what it is and should I get rid of it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

In an aquarium there are a lot of bugs that accumulate over time. Thankfully, the majority of them aren't harmful; however they are gross. This is likely in the harmless category, but without a very close detailed picture it's difficult to tell what it is.

Not a shrimp tank. Have some Platys (my female just had close to 40 fry) Neon Tetras, and Chinese algae eaters. Thanks for the help. Don't think its a planera, it doesn't have the triangle shaped head.
