How do you get mother guppy to not eat fry

Just curious but how do you get mother guppys to not eat their fry what kinds of plants are the best hiding places?

Hornwort, and water sprite are great, along with frogbit all of these are low/medium light. And all float

the best way is to take the mother out of the tank and any other fish

Also feed the mother a little more than usual. It makes the fry less tempting.
