Hi. I have the Fluval 3 plus with the outlet that has a pretty strong current. I can adjust it a bit, as in turn it down or up. I have it half-way now, but it's strong enough to make the bubbles in the middle of the tank not go up straight.

How strong it should be? Can it be too strong?

If its not blowing the substrate of your aquarium around and not blowing the fish up against the glass, then its not too strong. If it adversily affects either the fish or the substrate, then it needs to be repositioned or turned down.
