How to remove lime scale?

So what's the best way to remove the white likes ale build up, or whatever it is that builds up on sides of ranks and the glass on the lights?
 
You can use a scrubber sponge if it isn't too bad. Vinegar is supposed to remove lime scale/hard water build up. I've also hear you can scrape it off with a razor, but you gotta be careful not to cut your self! I used a scrubber sponge last time I had to do it.

I've tried vinegar before and it was okay, Probably going to try the razor blade
