I live in Houston and lost power for a about 5 hours and I'm assuming the lack of flow and power killed it. It was a rhodactis coral and is the only invert in my tank. My fish are doing fine.

I was wondering if:
a) the lack of power for a few hours is enough to kill inverts or is this an isolated case?

b) what do you do in power outage situations to prolong the life of the tank.

TIA

I have been without power for 84 hours and my corals are still alive. They are in bags for shipping alot longer than that. My lights have been totally off but my tank is circulating by means of a small generator. I am hoping they will restore electricity sometime tonight at my house.
