I have a fishing bug? i think?

So I noticed long brown "hair" like things coming out between my rock and sand bed. I passed it off as some kind of algae and moved along. Well all of the sudden I noticed a black speck of dirt land on one of the hairs and it stuck to it, and then it moved! It "reeled it in" so to speak pulling only a few millimeters and pausing for a second. The hairs are about 3 inches long or so and I see 2 possibly more. Iv never seen it before any ideas?

Possibly vermetid snails. (Spelling?) if so, harmless. Or spoinid worms. Harmless too.

Well I believe I have a spoinid elsewhere in the tank and it looks nothing like this. It has shorter thicker white hairs and these are real long and skinny and brown.
