I heard fish can die if you dont turn off your light when u sleep

Is it true if u leave your light on in your tank on everyday without turning it off ever your fish can die?

I'm not sure about dying, but they certainly wouldn't be happy. Fish need to rest.

Turning the light off when you sleep has no bearing on the fish... but fish need to sleep too, so you need to have some dark time. It would also be a very poor decision to keep a light on 24/7, as algae would likely take over.
