I haven’t delt with ich in YEARS, and I normally raise the temps and add epsom salt to cure it because I’ve always had catfish. However, I’ve recently found out that the epsom salt makes my water extremely hard, and it’s proving very hard to bring it back down.
Half of my tank has developed ich, and I have scaleless fish. I don’t know what to do as I can’t use normal medication, I can’t use the epsom salt, and it looks like even aquarium salt will hurt the more sensitive fish.
I’m currently trying to give everyone salt baths, but I’m not sure how much it’ll help.
Is there something I’m able to do?
