I've seen that show and read a article about them some where and they put the water through a huge ro/di unit that they bring with them from job to job. I don't know what they do about the cycle period buy its a neat show and they must be getting good feed back in terms of fish life or they wouldn't be in business getting such high scale customers. Its hard to watch it tho without seeing the behind the scene action if they did all that the show would be 4 hours long lol

In the last show, it looked like they ran a hose from the Casinos water supply and dumped it into the tank, it was 90 degrees, so they poured in loads of ice from the ice machines in the casino. No RO/DI there.

But some of their tanks are out of this world.

Thats what I caught too. I wasn't impressed.

We must be missing something, because they talk about acclimation and quarantine. But I don't think you can or should install a tank, gravel, water and bio filter the same day you add $10,000 worth of fish, so something is happening in editing. I give them credit, they build some amazing tanks. $$$ I like their large display tanks, not the theme ones. The one with the curved end that is about 15' long is absolutely awesome. Looks like about 1000 gallons. Done as a reef rather than a shark tank, it could be the blue ribbon holder.

I agree with you on that. I wasn't a big fan of the theme, and to me installing TV's in an aquarium tells me that the fish weren't the main display which is disheartening to me. I think I may look into the background and see if I can't dig up some "Camera magic" tricks that could explain better.
