i showed this picture to a guy at work (he gave me these Cichlid) and said is is carrying eggs.. he figures maybe one week so far..

does it look that way? If so, I will keep an eye on her. he also told me how to get the eggs/fish out and to wait a week before doing that..

Thoughts?

It's really hard to tell from the picture, but I don't think it is holding. And as far as stripping them, thats way on down the road. You don't strip the eggs, you strip the fry once they're big enough to eat. It takes around a month before they're ready, so you've got another 3 weeks or so to go if it is indeed holding.

She looks around 1.5in. in that picture which is a little young to hold. But it's hard to tell in that picture.

I will get more pictures she is closer to 2 in head to just before tail fin

So how to you measure them? LOL

best I can tell she is just over 2" to 2.25" long

I have 2 females, and this particular one has more of a bulge just below her mouth. I will see how she looks in a few more days and snap a pic then
