Java Fern in light brackish tank

If anyone has experience with Java Ferns in a brackish tank, I need some advice! (Or other plants as well.)

I am probably going to have to acclimate the puffers I am getting from freshwater to the bracksih they should be living in. I have been told I'll need to go slow, mainly for the bacteria, since it will be more senstive than the fish.

If I put Java Ferns in, and they go through the same acclimation... think they have a better chance of making it through? I'm not sure on what is involved for the plants in that scenario.

Low end is O.K. I think, but it's likely they'll grow slower.
