Hello just a quick question here. My java ferns are starting to get these black pinhole like spots on the leaves. Anybody know how I can fix them?

Nothing to fix... That's just the older of the leaves aging. Watch closely as sometimes the spot will sprout a baby, which you can then attach somewhere else in your tank to start another fern!

This seems to just happen to java fern. The black spots will sprout new plants. Sometimes all the leaves will turn black and die. Then the rhizome will go dormant for awhile and then grow more leaves. I had all of mine do that. I thought they were all dead and suddenly they started putting out new leaves. I researched trying to find an answer but no one seemed to know why they do that.

Just so you know if they are actual pin holes, ones that you see through and not the black spots they get during reproducing, that is actually an indication of potassium deficiency.
