Hey guys in my breeder tank (10 gals) I am going to get some java moss and was wanting a carpet. The tank is low tech with low tech co2 and 15 w light. Currently I have 5 fry in there. To get to the point if I wanted to make a carpet could I use cheese cloth because there is some at walmart for cheap? Anything else I could use?

Two things...

Java moss doesn't make the best of carpets when it comes to moss. It's a bit unruly and grows sporadically in all sorts of directions. A better moss would be flame or mini fissidens.

Not sure about cheese cloth, but stainless steel mesh makes a good surface to tie moss on. H4N on TPT (the planted tank) and APC forum sells it precut or by the sheet. You can PM him.

Thanks for the info dude! If it does sort of make a small unruly carpet I would be proud of myself haha!

That's what I'll probably use to
