Hey guys, just noticed this spot on my jack dempsey. Can you guys tell me what it may be.

Looks like Head And Lateral Line Errosion(HLLE), is this a recent thing as in did it bappen quickly or has it progressed over time?

I just noticed it last night. It's not as prominent anymore. I was wondering if he ran into the glass and banged his head.
