I can't remember this ever happening but I'm having buyer's regret with the A. australe pair. I just wanted a somewhat peaceful, colorful pair of killies...spawning would be a nice benefit but not a deal breaker.
The female is just plain nasty...stalks the shrimp but fortunately doesn't eat them; killed a micro rasbora within minutes of being added to the tank; constantly terrorizes the male
I have a few options for rehoming so that isn't an issue, guess I just hate to feel like I've given up.
I'm putting together another order with Wet Spot and the following pairs are available. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'll be doing my research after the caffeine kicks in
A. splendopleure
A. bivittatum
N. rachovii
Or maybe I should just go with one of the wild type bettas instead....
