Hi,

Just trying to confirm that my new krib is indeed male. I picked this lonely guy up at the LFS and they say he's a male, but I'm having doubts now and I'd like to be sure.

Many thanks,

P.

Looks like a male to me. Missing the tell tale pink belly for a female. Also the grey body is a good indicator that it is male.

Yep, also looks like male to me
Overtime the dorsal fins will shoot up, and then you can confidently say it's a male.

He has colored up a bit, with a little bit more pink in the belly today. Here are some more shots. Still male ?

ok, I hope there won't be any surprise - I'm getting a female in a few days, but this guy has really put on bright colors after settling in...

For the record... this krib turned out to be a female ! Guess you never know for sure :)

Wish I would have saw the January 30th pictures... she colored up nicely! They can be hard to sex when their colors are washed out like they were on the 25th of January.
