Never used miracle mud, but from what I hear people either live by it or don't think it does anything at all.
Alrighty folks, we are nearing the end of the cycle. There is no ammonia, and the nitrites are almost gone. Gonna check it again tomorrow and if all the nitrites are gone I'm gonna try to turn ammonia over to nitrates in 24 hours. If that works, then we'll let the stocking begin!

As long as they can see the food there ok. Ambient light from the room is more than enough until you get the kessil back.
Just ran a test and I'm showing no nitrites, no ammonia, and very few nitrates. Salt gravity is at 1.024 and I'm about to start the 24 hour test. As far as the lights, I have a 72" quad t5 lighting fixture I could use for the time being I guess. Also, I'm concerned about the flow of the water in my tank with only the return and two power heads. Is there any kind of wavemaker anyone could suggest I pickup?
