If I'm not mistaken that is what they call a Dragon's Blood Peacock aka Firefish. They aren't a hybrid per say but a line bred color morph.

You learn new things everyday.
What's the difference between line bred and hybrid? Do the female firefish look the same as male? Thanks

Great color on those fish but I think they need to go on a diet.

Lol! Your probably right! Those three are always waiting at the surface of the water! I have to try to make sure the others get any food at all!

My Venstrus eat whole cubes of brien shrimp, I don't know about you but that seems a bit odd. They are super fat nd soe day, they will explode.

It's not good for them to eat frozen cubes of food, dethaw any frozen food before feeding. If normal brine shrimp aren't large enough try feeding the jumbo mysis shrimp.

I have a filter lol

I said I didn't have an underwater filter. I do have a regular filter :)
I had tons of problems with sick fish in the early years with underwater. Though it gets cloudy once a month when I clean under the rocks, it clears up fast, and I have not had as many problems. I used underwater years ago. I just never went back as I see no need. I do not change my filter sponges the same day as I clean however to keep the same bio ratio and ph. I will do that a few days later so everything has a chance to recouperate from the cleaning. The fish emulsion water is great for my garden as well :) So it all works out great.

That's crazy! I would love to have one of those but our tank isn't large enough. What other kinds of fish do you keep them with?

When I mean frozen, they are packed in freezers. I in thaw them before, but they are mash into the cubes so they only fall apart when the filter catches them. They are housed with a yellow lab, four female peacocks, one male peacock, one unknown cichlid, hybrid salvini, pair of Venstrus, one demasoni, and one Pleco.

A couple new ones :)
