As frustrating as it is after having overpaid for my standard flourescant lighting/hood at my LFS and seeing that I could have gotten a compact flourescent for the same price online, I am thinking about grabbing a compact flourscent while some of these nice sales are going on.

So I come here to ask what is a good light solution to get for under $180 if I want to do corals and have the lunar light feature? Obviously if I can find a system that is closer to $100 that isn't junk that would be better, but $180 is my max.

Thanks!

First, ask yourself what species of corals?inverts you would like to have. For a 55gal tank a 4x65watt CF fixture should be just fine for most softies and LPD corals.
