Ok, in a nutshell, I cannot find any concise information about whether the lights I am looking at are suitable for my tank. I am setting up a 180 gal fw planted tank with pressurized CO2. The tank is 6' x 2' x 2'. So far, I've looked at 2 fixtures- first, a quad T5HO fixture (used, 2 80watt 10K daylight bulbs, 2 80watt actinics, lunar LED's, not sure of lumens, $100.00) vs an LED fixture with 320 0.2 watt 10K LED bulbs, 7000 lumen output, $180.00 (Beamswork fixture on EBay).
1) will either one of these fixtures provide enough light to keep my plants happy in a 24" deep tank?
2) If I were to switch out the 2 actinic T5s for regular full-spectrum, would that make more sense?
3) With a total of 320 watts output, does the T5 fixture actually use 320 watts of electricity (vs 81 watts for the LED fixture, comparing monthly power $$)
I appreciate any feedback to help clear up my confusion, I just want to be sure that my fish and plants are getting the proper light. Thank you.
