I have a tropical tank that we have slowly wound down over the last few years. I'm now only left with my snail. I have no idea what type he is but my little boy (and me) love him. But I need the space that the tank is in! Would a betta tank be suitable for one lonely snail? They seem to be pretty small? Tia

You would probably save money getting a 5 gallon or 10 gallon, depending how much the kit would run you. But as the poster above me said, most snails don't need too much room.

A 5 or 10 gallon would give you flexibility if you ever wanted to get back into the hobby a bit, with a couple of fish or a beta.

A picture of the snail would be nice if you are unsure of the species.
