We were hoping this handsome long finned red white and black Tetra would hang out with our 2 painted tetras and add some flare to the community. What he added was a damged fin on one Tetra, damaged fins on 2 Mollies, and I will even blame him for a little bite on my long fin Zebra Danio's tail too. 2 days total time in tank and he mostly nipped late at night. It wasn't until I saw him nip a Molly that I knew for sure what was going on. He wasn't guarding any property, he was patrolling the tank starting fights. I assessed the damage and bagged him up back to the store. Meany.

Serpaes are notorious nippers. They do better in a full school of least 6 though. If you have space, I suggest getting a full school of them. If the tank is too small, you should consider rehoming him IMO.
