So I'm trying to hear a 2.5 gallon tank with 1 betta fish. I'm reading mixed reviews on heaters for this size tank. Can anyone please tell me what's a good heater/wattage for this size tank? Thanks!

Be pretty small but if you can get an adjustable one. I just use aquaone with no issues (I use a tank thermometer to check just in case as well ).

How many degrees from the ambient room temp do you need the heater to work?

In other words, what is the coldest temp in the room where the tank is and the hottest you want to be able to run the tank?

Well, I've been making accommodations for Willard's sake, so if I was to want my happy zone, I'd say been 74-78...I like it warm lol and his tank, well, he seems happiest at 80°.

If you only need to warm it 4-5 degrees than 7.5w should be plenty.
