Looks like snot on my LR??

I have this stuff growing on a piece of my LR that looks like snot, for lack of a better term. It is a cloudy white color. What is it? Good or bad? I am sorry the pics are not the best but it is very hard to focus on this stuff

Looks kinda like a sponge to me ... maybe some of the more experienced members will give you some more educated opinions though.

I like the sponge suggestion. I've had that too, but it's never really come to my attention until now.

I think its a sponge. I had that then it developed into a really cool conversation piece. It has holes all in it. It is very cool. That is how mine started.
