Lost a fish yesterday...Red Belly Piranha...

found this guy floating yesterday after work...when i took him out, i noticed a blurry eye and a spot on his right side that was much harder than the rest of him and also discolorred...

any ideas what killed him?

Ammonia - 0-0.25
Nitrites - 0
pH - 6
Nitrates - 80 (this is a little high, no?)

Do you happen to have a pleco (or other sucker-type fish for that matter) that would have a mouth-print about that size? As if it started to eat it after it died...

no...no sucker-type fish...4 other RBPs and a Convict Cichlid <--- dont ask

also...the mark wasnt like it was beeing eaten...the discolorring was internal...

have heard that it might have been Acid Burn from low pH????

4 other RBPs are fine as is the Convict....
