Lower my water level

How can I lower my water level in my tank it is almost spiling but the water level in the sump is in level

How do you have the tank drain? Bulkhead? Need more info on the tank to help with the problem.

Put a valve on your return line so you can slow down the flow.

Valve on return is the way to go.
