LR in sump

I have a 3 chamber sump.
1st is intake with protein skimmer
2nd is refuge
3rd is return

I would like to keep just the sand, mud
And algea in the refuge, so my question is

Can I put all my LR rubble in the return
chamber?

Will that cause me problems down the road?

120 gal main
15 gal sump

Ideally you don't want anything in your return chamber. Less chance some something interfering with the pump. Center chamber is where my sand/algae/LR is. You can but just check the intake frequently for buildup
