How often do I need to feed the goby? Can i buy a bottle of pods and threw the whole thing in the tank? I heard that they can populate in the water.

A mandarin can eat a bottle of pods a day. that's totally all they do is hunt for food.
Do you have a sump and/or refugium? How big is the tank and how much live rock? How long has the tank been running?
These are important questions when dealing with mandarins.
