Hi i have mgs04 (magnesium sulphate) and im trying to calculate my dosage for Ei on a online calculator.
The calculator only has an option for mgs04.5h20 on, is it the same as mgs04?
I've calculated my dosage using the mgs04.5h20 calculator and its telling me to use 600 grams into 500mls of water for a 10 ml dose
Im so confused please help lol

Since MgSO4 is hygroscopic, we use that when calculating doses. It's more accurate as it takes into account the added weight from the water.

I have dry magnesium s but the calculator only has the option for mgs04h20.
Will i need a different calculator that has the dry mix option then?

Do i need to dose magnesium sulphate if im dosing kn03 and kh2p04?

MgSO4·7H2O is the dry chemical. The 7H2O indicates that it has absorbed water and this is what you will really have. If you bake the chemical, then you will have only MgSO4.

Depends. It really depends on your water and your plants. I don't dose any Mg in my 75 gallon tank. Plants never told me that they needed it.

Ok im not gonna dose it unless i need to, how will i know i the plants need it?
