Molly fry

I have about seven Molly fry in my tank. I really want to separate them so they don't all get eaten but my parents won't let me set up a fourth tank. How many days will it take for them to get large enough to not get eaten?

not couple days more like a month or so. depending on how much you feed the fries and what kind of food as well.

What I would suggest is to get a baby breeder that goes into the tank itself. They sell them at Petsmart or Petco. Here is a link of the fish breeder I have used and hate great results. Top Fin&#0174 Net Breeder - Fish Care - Fish - PetSmart

Thanks, so much. I'll try to head there sometime today. We have snow here, so maybe not. I've still be counting seven fry ever since I've found them. So they might be alright.

If your really stuck, you could use a milk container. Cut it in half, make sure you rinse it well in hot water. Secure it to the side of the tank, about 1-2" above the water-line, with some suction cups. There's load of videos on youtube for this. It'll do till you get to the lfs..
