Heres my 1 month old fish tank. all live plants 3 fish.. plant on the right is growing like crazy but the swords are a little slow.. the second picture is of one of the swords and im not sure how to trim the middle stalk which is about an inch from growing out of the tank.

Your Sword Plant

Hello Zach...

Amazon swords are generally slow to moderate growers. If you want larger swords, I find it best to buy larger ones instead of waiting for them to grow to the size you want.

The "runner" on your plant looks very new, so I would give it more time to grow and develope leaves. When it's about twice as long as it is, and has two or three leaves, then just clip a little under the leaves and stick the clipping in the gravel. If you plant more than one clipping, then keep them a couple of inches apart if possible to allow for growth.
