Nice... Is that a Jack Dempsey in picture 4? .. IMO "store credit" the oscar... You'll want more cichlids! :)

What size tank? Filter? Future plans is your tank?

I'm in the process of building a 75g Cichlid breeding tank. transferring from this 55g..

My plans were to grow these four cichlids and two shark cats in this 55, but I'm thinking the fh is getting too aggressive for that plan.. I'm open for suggestions.. My filter is just a marine land 350.

fh? Flower horn? I would look for another HOB filter if you can "cheap" $5 thrift store.. Just to make it more flow and more filtering between water changes..

My 55g has [2] HOB filters like yours and added air [just because the cichlids love it.] and to grow them out? Like till they're dead of old age. If so thats awesome but your already over fish. Lol No but some of them can grow huge..

If you need to "store credit" a fish no big deal, no shame... I do it weekly.. I believe petland chains will take them. And mine gives me half what they sell it for. Being a franchise the prices are already higher..

I hate to store credit my flower horn, but that seems like the best long term solution.( also my gf hates him for picking on the others). Already lost a shark cat:((

I like your setup. My favorite is the black one with the blue-ish accents.

those fish arent compatible. they also way overload the bioload the tank can handle, the smallest reccomended tank for an oscar is 55 gallons, without tankmates. same for the smaller flowerhorns and jackdempseys. if the other is what i think it is,a firemouth,it is ok in there with some more compatible tankmates. flowerhorns are also way more aggressive than the other fish in there
