The tank also has a full Aquatronica system that monitors ph redox temp sump level and water leaks
If the power goes out or any or the parameters or water leaks happen it sends me a SMS message

The tank has been tuning for 3.5 years with not one water change by hand

Thats a mammoth of a tank. And those are some pretty huge fish. Where did you buy a tank this is big?

This tank has been running 3.5 years

I had a 350 gal tank before this but the fish got to big for it

Wow! How much has your power bill went up since setting this tank up?

I did the math one day to see how much all of my tanks were costing me and surprisingly it's a very negligible cost. Even with filters and heaters running on 250ish gallons of water. Even on a tank that size I can't imagine it went too terribly high.

Most places average about $.05 a kilowatt hour. So if your heaters ran all day it'd cost you just shy of 2.50ish led lights help reduce cost.

Well it's like running another house as I have PC and everything in the hut

The pumps run 1kw 24/7 as it turns over 66,000 lph

My house costs £25 per week
The tank and hut costs £25 per week in the summer and £30-35 per week in winter

On average it's about £2200 per year for electric and about £500 for food
