My Zoos eat flakes

It's weird. Everytime I feed my maroon clown and BHT marine flakes, my zoos always catch a few of them, then slowly closes up into a ball. Then when they open, magic, it's gone.

Is there any drawback to that?

No. Just make sure you are not overfeeding the tank. If I throw flake in my tank it never makes it to the bottom. My fish are pigs.

LOL, mine too! My clown eats them before they even hit the water!

i agree to not overfeed...but that is cool though, ive never seen my zoo's do anything like that before

I've noticed the same thing with all my shrooms and they just keep getting bigger and bigger

Well, I normally feed them coral excel and DT's phyto in the morning. Then some flake for the fish that never makes it to the shrooms. Then in the evening I feed my fish some brime and/or pellet. That's when I noticed some pellets landed on some shrooms. The shrooms would close up in a min. or 2, then open back up after 10 to 30 min. and wouldn't ya know... the pellets were gone. I have also give them some brime now and then.
