Aquarium Advice FINatic
Today, my kaudern's cardinal died and I cannot figure out why. Water parameters:
Temp: 78
SG: 1.022
pH: 8.3
Ammonia: .15 (my hermit started eating it so thats why its up)
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 20
I fed him mysis shrimp on sunday, had to go out of state for monday and came back today and he was still alive. Feed the fishes flakes and pellets but he didn't want to eat. Couple hours later, he was dead.
Weird Behaviors: he doesn't swim very much, just kinda sits still behind my rocks.
Possible reasons: my big hermit crab hasn't been eating because he was molting and possibly caught the cardinal since he was hungry.
Possible reason 2: my lights were off and the fish hit something.
Possible reason 3: It was time for him.
Any responses would help, I just want to try to find reasons so I can watch my other fishes
