Hey everyone! I bought this pleco from Petsmart about a year ago under the impression it was an albino bristle nose. I figured he would grow out his little bristles once he was a little bigger since he was tiny when I brought it home. He has pretty much stopped growing in length now at about 3 1/2", and with a smooth nose. So if anyone has any idea what he might be I would love to hear it.

Looks like an Albino BN. I have 2 juveniles, and one is getting bristles. I also have 2 regular BN's about 3 1/2 inches long. The male has bristles, but the female doesn't. BTW, I think they're breeding.

Female. Males are not so blocky around the middle due to not having eggs. Females do get small bristles sometimes but they will be very pronounced in the males.

Wow, thanks everyone, that's good to hear! Also nice to learn a little more. Good luck with the breeding too, that's always super exciting for me lol
